Hue City Tour

In the morning, transfer to the local pier, embark on a traditional dragon boat…
Thien Mu Pagoda
Take time as you relax and enjoy the calming scenery before reaching Thien Mu Pagoda. Dating back to 1601, this seven-storied pagoda is Hue’s best-preserved monument, gracefully perched atop a hill overlooking the Perfume River.
Discover the many stories surrounding this most spiritual landmark of Hue, believed to be the spiritual birthplace of the Nguyễn Dynasty. Legend has it that this very curve of the river marks the spot where the imperial dragon rested and turned, a divine sign that guided Lord Nguyễn to expand southward and establish his royal residence.
Imperial Citadel
Continue to the Imperial Citadel located at the center of the Complex of Hue Monuments inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. Enter through the towering main gate and appreciate the magnificent architecture and gardens while your guide explains the events and the intrigue surrounding the former royal court.
Royal Antique Musium
Later, stop at the Royal Antiques Museum and explore a fascinating gallery showcasing bronze and ceramic artifacts, along with personal belongings of the former Nguyen Dynasty emperors — including the King’s original ceremonial attire with its ornate accessories such as hair ornaments and belts — as well as an exquisite collection of Champa artifacts.
Dong Ba Market
Then, head to Dong Ba Market, the largest and most vibrant marketplace in the heart of Hue. Here, the city’s daily rhythm unfolds — from colorful stalls brimming with fresh produce, local handicrafts, and fragrant spices, to the lively exchange between vendors and shoppers. Take a moment to soak in the authentic sights, sounds, and aromas that define Hue’s local life.
After exploring the market, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor Hue’s signature dishes prepared with the region’s time-honored recipes and refined culinary artistry.
Nguyen Emperor's Tomb
In the afternoon, visit the elaborate Khai Dinh Royal Tomb, followed by the Tu Duc Royal Tomb, the most impressive of all the royal mausoleums, built by Emperor Tu Duc between 1864 and 1867. Transfer back to your hotel with two more stops at a conical hat and incense stick making villages.
